seriously lacking in photos and content!

I haven’t knit in two weeks. I’ve been so busy starting my business, and with my current job, that I just can’t find the energy to pick up the needles. Today, the boys were home sick so I was forced to take a break, and I slept until 2:00. I think I desperately needed the sleep.

I really want to sit down and knit, but I need to organize my office which just is taking so much time, I’m moving two desks out, to bring one desk up, YAY! It’s still a slow task, tho. I’m making it very girly and pink. EXCITED!

In Love …. and going on Holiday

I am IN LOVE. Not just like a high school crush, but a change your life omg kinda love. You might think that I am talking about a person, but I’m not, I already have that, and have for sometime now, and I know I’m lucky, but today, I am in love with dream dinners. www.dreamdinners.com Love it. So, let me explain…. I am NOT a cook. I honestly don’t find much joy in being in the kitchen alone, and cleaning up the mess, and then the dishes. It is so not my thing. On top of that, I hate menu planning, and going grocery shopping, and chopping veggies sucks. Really, it does, and I don’t like it. One of the reasons I don’t cook more with veggies. So, dream dinners. I pick a menu from their choices, it changes monthly, and they shop, cut my veggies, and set up the assembly line, AND they CLEAN up when I’m done. SWEET. I come home freeze and then bake (that’s what I’ve chosen to do so I don’t have to cook so much), and everything has flavor, and the kids LOVE it too. I am done with my commercial, but I’m in heaven.

Now, the really good part, even if dream dinners wasn’t good enough. I am going to Scotland, and am looking for any advice. I’m going to Edinburg, with my cousin, granny, and a friend.

I haven’t been knitting much. Reading some lately, the book is really good. A lady came into the store the other day and recommended a bunch of good books that I am really looking forward to reading.

We will never forget.

Happy Birthday Mom!

The 9th is my mom’s birthday. She passed away in 1998, exactly a month after her oldest brother. She was 39, and way to young.

I miss her. Sometimes, just how she said my name, I’m so scared that I’m going to forget and not remember that. She had a slight twang, even after living in VA for years. I just really miss her.

I love you, Mom.

shrug turn purse …

This is a very poor picture of my cabled shrug from interweave knits turned into a bag. I had decided long ago, that I wasn’t going to finish this. I was halfway through the second repeat when I just said I really hated the whole process for it. So, it sat there a UFO for a long time before it hit me with what to do with it. I stitched it down the middle, and then across the bottom. Since, I don’t sew much, I lined it with a ready made canvas bag from michaels. I’m really very pleased with it. The other side is different, but the picture is much worse than this one.
